Unlucky genetics can predispose to a full or obtuse neck (double chin) in young patients with no signs of ageing. It is often compounded by a weak or recessed chin.This 30-year old gentleman underwent a combined deep neck lift using a short scar technique and chin augmentation (through the same incision). The combined effect helps create a masculine jawline and contoured neck appearance. As may occur in major reductions such as this, he developed a seroma early after surgery that required a secondary scar release at 6 months. Result at 8 months.
