Facelift Surgery
The general goal of a facelift is to restore the natural shape and balance of a youthful face. It is not about simply removing skin, which can lead to a very unnatural ‘wind-swept’ surgical appearance. It is important to rejuvenate the face by redistributing volume and lifting the drooping areas (i.e. jowls, marionette lines, and cheek folds).
General anaesthetic; 4 hours; Overnight stay
“Dr Townley is exceptional at what he does and has a really calm and professional manner. I cannot recommend him highly enough.”
Blepharoplasty (Upper and/or Lower Eyelids)
The eyelids are a key area that can betray someone’s age or just give a very ‘tired appearance’. Blepharoplasty can reduce puffiness, remove excess skin, and provide a natural, youthful appearance with minimal scarring.
Local or general anaesthetic; 1-2 hours; Daycase
Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping)
The nose is the centrepiece of the face and therefore a very important and distinctive feature. The desired appearance of the nose is highly individualised and culture-specific. Rhinoplasty can straighten crooked noses, remove bumps, adjust length, and deliver a more refined tip.
General anaesthetic; 2-3 hours; Overnight stay
Revision Rhinoplasty
Revision rhinoplasty can be ideal for patients who are unsatisfied with the aesthetic or functional effects of a prior nose surgery from another surgeon. This often very complex procedure is best left to an expert like Mr Townley.
General anaesthetic; 2.5-3.5 hours; Overnight stay
Genioplasty (Chin Augmentation)
The relative prominence or size of the chin is very important, as it can exaggerate or mask other facial features. For example, it may be possible to turn an apparently long nose into a nose that looks in proportion to the rest of the face by adjusting the chin with chin augmentation surgery.
General anaesthetic; 1-2 hours; Daycase
Deep (Full) Neck Lift
A deep neck reduction (or “deep neck lift”) procedure aims to create smoother, more youthful contours in the neck, jawline, and lower face. The “deep plane” technique requires expert skill and experience.
General anaesthetic; 2.5-3 hours; Overnight stay
Short-Scar Neck Lift
If mild to moderate loss of skin elasticity and extra fullness under the chin obscure your neck, jawline contour, and side profile, you may be a good candidate for short-scar neck lift surgery.
General anaesthetic; 1.5 hours; Daycase
Fat Transfer
Loss of facial volume with age can lead to a very sunken or tired appearance, especially in the cheeks. Facial fat transfer is a technique that transfers fat from one area of the body to another – thereby using your own tissue to fill age-related wrinkles, lines, or hollows in the face. Commonly, fat is harvested from areas such as the thigh or buttock, purified, and injected into areas requiring treatment.
General anaesthetic; 1 hour; Daycase
